Tree Steward Program

As a Tree Steward, you agree to help water a newly planted street tree for the first two years. The Urban Forestry Administration will provide a watering device free as part of the agreement. The Tree Steward plays a vital part in street trees' ability to establish their roots. This is a community effort and we all enjoy the benefits of trees. By working together, we can get the next generation's tree canopy growing. If you request a tree to be planted please sign up as a Tree Steward by signing the Tree Steward Agreement* and sending to the Urban Forestry Administration. Our staff will deliver a watering device to your door with instructions on how to set it up and when to water your new tree.

Once you sign and submit the Tree Steward Agreement, UFA will deliver the water device, tree trunk protector and tree care brochure to your door. The brochure will explain everything you need to know related to this program and how to provide this critical care for our young street trees.
